Jack and Jill were racing, but it was no contest.
Jack beat Jill by 10 yards on a 100-yard course.
Jill suggested that for the second race, Jack should start 10 yards behind the starting line-she figured that would give her a fair chance, since he had won by 10 yards.
Who won, and by how much yards..?
ANSWER :
Jack won by one yard. He can run 100 yards while Jull can run 90, so with 10 yards left, the two of then tied.

A woman who lived in Germany during world war two wanted to cross the German/Swiss border in order to escape nazi pursuers.
The bridge which she is to cross is a half mile across, over a large canyon. Every three minutes a guard comes out of his bunker and checks if anyone is on the bridge.
If a person is caught trying to escape German side to the Swiss side they are shot. If caught crossing the other direction without papers they are sent back. She knows that it takes at least five minutes to cross the bridge, in which time the guard will see her crossing and shoot her.
How does she get across?
ANSWER :
She waits until the guard goes inside his hut, and begins to walk across the bridge. She gets a little more than half way, turns around, and begins to walk toward the german side once more. The guard comes out, sees that she has no papers, and sends her back to the swiss side.

Puzzle-4
"I could have been killed, Inspector Wright..!" cried Sam Dancer as the brilliant detective stepped in his disco.
"Tell me what happened," Inspector Wright asked.
"I was closing my disco and then this guy came with a gun. He took all my money and took a shot at me. Luckily, it only scraped past my arm," Sam said, showing him a bandaged flesh wound. "I didn't touch anything. I have seen enough detective movies to know that you would want to look for clues."
Inspector Wright stood in the middle of the mirrored walls that perfectly reflected the scene of the crime.
"You left one clue too many Sam. Or maybe you didn't leave it. You are lying."
Why didn't Inspector Wright believe Sam's story..?
